Biography
Scott Higgins, a Partner in the Finance and Real Estate Practice Group, joined Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C. in 2002. His practice includes representing health care institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes, Continuing Care Retirement Communities and other health care and mental health organizations, academic institutions and other not-for-profit organizations, as well as privately held for-profit organizations, on a variety of financing transactions, including tax-exempt and taxable bond financings and refinancings, secured and unsecured lending transactions and capital lease transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities Practice Groups at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and in the Corporate Practice Group at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
Mr. Higgins received a Bachelor of Business Administration, with distinction, from the University of Michigan School of Business Administration in 1995 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1998.
