Biography
Melissa S. Kubit is an associate at Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C., which she joined in 2008. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group, which represents clients in all phases of civil litigation before both state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution bodies.

Ms. Kubit’s practice includes litigation for hospitals, physicians, managed care companies and other health industry clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kubit worked as an associate at Rivkin Radler LLP, a general practice law firm, where she practiced in a variety of different fields, including insurance coverage, general liability, commercial litigation, construction and environmental litigation.

While in law school, Ms. Kubit interned with the Honorable Leonard B. Austin in Nassau County Supreme Court. Additionally, she worked as a student attorney in the Boston University Civil Litigation Clinic representing indigent clients on various matters.

Ms. Kubit received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Muhlenberg College in 2003, and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2006.
