Biography
Peter G. Siachos is an Associate at Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C., which he joined in 2007. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group, and represents clients in a wide range of commercial and employment disputes before federal and state trial and appellate courts, administrative and regulatory agencies, and alternative dispute resolution panels.
Mr. Siachos has handled all facets of litigation on behalf of clients such as Fortune 100 and other major corporations, closely-held businesses, partnerships, and individuals. He has handled appeals and tried matters before juries, judges, and arbitrators involving contract and corporate disputes, real estate and construction matters, insurance disputes, RICO, breach of warranty, unfair trade practices, premises liability, business torts, discrimination and retaliation under federal and state equal employment opportunity laws, wrongful termination, and various health care matters.
In 1999, Mr. Siachos served as law clerk to South Carolina Governor James H. Hodges. Mr. Siachos served on appointment by the governor of South Carolina as South Carolina Commissioner for National and Community Service from 1999 to 2005, and was responsible for the administration of and allocation of funds to state and federally-funded community service projects in South Carolina. Prior to joining Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C., he was an associate at Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross P.C. and Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, L.L.P.
Mr. Siachos received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Barristers and the Moot Court Bar. Mr. Siachos received his B.A., magna cum laude, in Spanish and Political Science from the University of South Carolina Honors College. In 1997, Mr. Siachos was awarded the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, the highest undergraduate award at the University of South Carolina.
